What about the focused fool website?

October 4th, 2006

I still plan to keep the Focused Fool website … it will be now known as the Focused Fool Community.

In alignment with the vision to serve the Focused Fool Community I’ve decided to provide the advertising of coaching services for FREE.

If you’re a coach, trainer or somehow serve the personal and professional growth community you can have …

  • An expanded personal profile detailing everything about your business
  • Your success service in front of people interested in self-improvement
  • Post your events (seminars, workshops, etc …) within the Event Calendar
  • A personal weblog for you to post your daily thoughts and musings
  • All articles and weblog postings will contain a link to your customized profile
  • Have your services / profile featured within the Focused Fool E-Zine

I’ve decided to do this for a limited time so act now!

Focused Fool Inc renamed

October 3rd, 2006

After much thought and feedback I decided to change the name of my company from Focused Fool Inc. to Rapid Success Coaching Inc.

Love my new toy?

Well … it’s not really mine.

I meet up with one of my college buddies and he took me for a spin in his Viper.

Thanks Brent for a great rush!

Anyone looking for a coach?

Start Sales Pitch …

I’m in the last stage of my official training to become a certified professional coach.

I’ve finished the in-class course work and have now moved into the practicum.

I’m currently practicing at a discounted rate and my rates will double once practicum is completed.

So if you’re interested in …

  • achieving your goals faster then ever
  • taking your personal and professional life to the next level
  • or just trying to figure out what your life’s dream might be

… send me an email at ronatfocusedfooldotcom.

FYI … This is on top of my current certification as a Master NLP Practioner and Master Ericksonian Hypnosis Practioner.

… end sales pitch :)

Work time

September 5th, 2006

One of my first tasks today was to design my working time schedule.

I found that during the summer it was unclear for me and my family what was work time and what was home time.

Interruptions happened often and it just frustrated everyone.

So … in an effort to keep everyone sane my wife and I came up with the following work time rules.

1) During a regular day (Monday to Friday) working from home

  • Official work time is Monday to Friday from 7am to 2pm
  • Family time is from 2pm to 7pm
  • Un-official work time from 7pm until 11ish (when I go to bed)

2) Official work time is reserved for those specific activities that will grow my business like:

  • Marking efforts
  • Sales calls
  • Providing coaching and training services
  • Business planning
  • Writing content (books, ebooks, articles, e-zine, etc)
  • Personal development (need to limit this one)
  • Balance the books and other cashflow related work

3) Un-official work time is for those things that I like to explore, play with and fine tune:

  • Enhancing features on website
  • Designing logos
  • Exploring content on the web

4) No email / phone calls during family time

5) When I’m out of the home all day (working / training) then no work that evening (not even email)

6) During official work time I get dressed up and go to work (even if working from home)

7) I don’t do any personal stuff during work time (I don’t even answer our home line)

Family has agreed to respect work time and I have agreed to respect family time.

This should make life easier for everyone.

Back to work!

September 5th, 2006

Summer vacation is over.

Today I’m officially in business mode.

It’s time to get serious (don’t worry … I believe it’s important to have fun staying focused) about building my company.

Over the past few months I’ve been working on my business plan, refining concepts and developing content.

I’ve been developing myself by learning about sales and investing in training to refine my coaching skills.

My plan for the summer was to relax, unwind, invest in myself, do some homework and enjoy time with my family.

Having completed this … It’s now time switch to action mode and make this business a reality.

I have a few updates that I will be announcing over the next few days as I switch modes that I know you will want to hear.

Check back often as I will be making updates on a much more regular basis.

Get the edge

July 27th, 2006

Finished the ‘Get The Edge’ program by Anthony Robbins.

It’s a good solid (summary) program for personal change.

Most of GTE doesn’t introduce anything new … it highlights the core stuff from Personal Power II.

PP2 is the foundational program (more meat) … and GTE summarizes and brings it to the next level.

GTE covers …

  • Your Hour of Power
  • Getting Results
  • Power of Relationships
  • Pure Energy (Health & Fitness)
  • Power of Emotions (some new stuff here)
  • Financial Freedom
  • Purpose of Life

It also comes with the first 7 days from PP2 as a sampler.

GTE is more of TR motivating / pushing you to step up and follow through … which is always a good thing.

In all … I found the program to be very effective reminder to raise the bar and follow through … TR is a great motivator.

The next TR programs that I will be doing are Mastering Influence and then Time of Your Life.

I’ll keep you posted on how effective they are.
